Mission Statement
he goal of the Psychophysiology of Emotion and Human NeuroCognition Lab is to understand how emotionally salient information is processed by the peceptual and attentional mechanisms and the impact of this processing on cognitive operations.
To ask this question another way: What does the brain do differently when faced with an emotional situation? What parts of the brain are involved? How soon? And, how do these changes affect subseuqent mental operaations?
